Introduction:
You will enjoy touring through the protected space known as the Parque Natural de Aracena y Picos de Aroche, a beautiful, self-contained ecosystem in the Sierra de Aracena situated in the North of the province of Huelva in southwestern Spain, very close to the Portuguese frontier. The town of Cortegana is situated about 80 miles from Seville and about the same distance from one of Europe's most important European wildlife reserves at Doñana on the coast and the vast extension of semi-deserted beaches of the Costa de la Luz.
El Mirador de Cortegana is a house which dates back to the 19th century, completely restored with all modern conveniences, and situated in the pueblo of Cortegana, a town in the Sierra de Aracena located exactly at the centre of the Natural Park. The house is located at the entrance to the Valley of Carabaña, situated at the foot of the restored medieval castle, built by Sancho IV el Bravo, and the main church constructed in Mudejar style.
